2K Wood Filler (Chemical Wood) is a high-quality two-component filler designed for repairing and levelling wood and wood-based materials.
It provides excellent adhesion to various types of wood and materials such as plywood, OSB board, chipboard, and MFP board.
The filler is easy to mix, apply, and sand, producing a smooth and durable surface finish.
Suitable for use on:
- Dry and clean wood after sanding and degreasing
- Wood types containing natural resins or oils that reduce adhesion (e.g. spruce, larch, softwoods, exotic woods, birch, teak, rosewood, oak, and chestnut)
→ Wipe with a suitable solvent or prime with a 2K isolating primer (epoxy or polyurethane)
- Wood-based materials such as plywood, OSB, MFP, and chipboard
- Metals: steel, aluminum, and galvanized steel (after sanding and degreasing)
- Sanded polyester fiberglass (GFK/GRP), polyester fillers, acrylic and epoxy primers, and old sound coatings
Instructions for use
- Mix thoroughly until a uniform color is achieved. Stir gently to avoid air bubbles.
- Recommended application temperature: +20 °C. Pot life: approx. 5–6 minutes at 20 °C.
- Apply several thin layers, allowing each to dry before applying the next. Do not exceed a total layer thickness of 5 mm.
Drying and Sanding
- Drying time: 30–45 minutes at +20 °C (lower temperatures will significantly increase drying time)
- Sanding: Coarse sanding: P80–P120, Finishing sanding: P120–P240
Overcoating Can be painted over with epoxy, acrylic, or polyurethane paints.
Important Notes
Excessive use of hardener may affect the color of the final topcoat. When working with 2K products, always use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and a respirator. Work only in well-ventilated areas and clean tools immediately after use.
