Linseed Oil

Maston Linseed Oil is a cold-pressed, natural, additive-free linseed oil. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It can also be used for treating boats and/or as an additive to tar. Linseed oil penetrates deeply into wood and creates a natural finish that enhances the wood’s original structure. A surface treated with linseed oil provides long-lasting protection against dirt, moisture, and drying. On lighter wood surfaces, the oil imparts a pale yellow tint.

Applications: Paneling, wooden floors and furniture, logs, as well as cutting boards and other wooden utensils used with food.

Directions for use: Apply a generous coat with a cloth or brush and allow it to absorb for about 1 hour. Wipe off any excess oil. Note: untreated or very dry wood requires several applications. Allow the oil to dry for at least 24 hours between coats.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children.
Shelf life: 24 months from the production date. Once opened, linseed oil will keep for approx. 3–6 months in a cool, dry place if tightly sealed.

WARNING – RISK OF SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION

Due to the oxidation reaction of linseed oil, rags and other porous materials contaminated with the oil may ignite spontaneously. Dispose of rags by burning, drying them flat (not crumpled), or storing them fully submerged in water before disposal.
